Helen born and educated in Norwich, has a background in retail for over 28 years. Within her role she delivered training courses to her colleagues covering areas such as customer service, food safety and various aspects within Health and Safety including fire safety.
As well as being a member of the safety committee Helen was also a first aider attending colleagues and customers young and old for the duration of her retail career.
Helen was also a Community First Responder with the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust during 2015/2016.
Following a management restructure in the spring of 2018, Helen decided that it was time to follow her passion for first aid and helping people learn new skills so took the redundancy package offered and Go and Get Trained was born.
The summer of 2018 was taken up by additional studying and gaining further relevant business training supported by Broadland District Council and specialist training offered and supported by Nuco Training, the UK’s leading independent company that offers specialised Instructor training in a range of compliance courses including First Aid, Health & Safety and Food Safety.
Helen also holds her Level 3 in Safeguarding including instructor’s certification along with DBS certificate. A Registered Instructor for Mini Medics, children’s first aid, Go and Get Trained is proud to be a Learning Destination for Children’s University Norfolk.
